The GMC Acadia has long been a popular choice among drivers looking for a Professional Grade eight-passenger SUV. In fact, more than 45,000 customers bought an Acadia during the first eight months of 2010, resulting in a significant 19.3 percent sales increase as compared to the same period last year. And now GMC is ready to take those sales numbers to the next level with the 2011 Acadia Denali, which takes comfort and convenience to the next level, too.

The “Denali” name has developed a strong following as the ultimate reflection of GMC’s precision-engineered lineup, already adding significant upgrades to the GMC Yukon, Yukon XL and Sierra product families. And the success of those models made the decision to launch the Acadia Denali a simple one.

This includes features like a Denali-specific chrome honeycomb grille, sophisticated monochromatic exterior, 20-inch two-tone chrome wheels, high-intensity discharge headlamps, chrome interior accents, a head-up display and heated/cooled driver and passenger seats. And remember, this is on top of the Acadia’s already impressive package of features, which range from a front coil-over-shock suspension for a smooth ride to an available touch-screen navigation system to an optional dual-pane sunroof that let’s the sun shine in on both front- and rear-seat passengers.

According to Lubbock TX GM dealer, the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali went into production late in September at GM’s award-winning Lansing (Mich.) Delta Township Assembly facility, the company’s newest North American plant. Notably, Lansing Assembly also was the first manufacturing facility to earn honors as a Gold Certified Leader in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and it still remains the only plant to achieve this status.
