Combining Beauty and a Beast All Into One: the 2010 GMC Terrain

by jburney on May 5, 2010

The all-new 2010 GMC Terrain, GMC’s latest and least expensive midsized SUV, still holds true to be professional grade. According to GMC, they have more ideas per square inch. More is what GMC does… Well, in that case, it is safe to say we should expect some impressive things from GMC. GM Dealer Clovis says the 2010 Terrain is no exception.

When it comes to engine options, choose from a 182hp, 172lb-ft of torque 4-cylinder engine or go big with the V6, 264hp engine with 222lb-ft torque.

As far as features go, the 2010 Terrain is enhanced with a chrome package, fuel efficient performance that will get up to 32 miles per gallon highway, advanced acoustics, standard rear vision camera, and a programmable power rear liftgate. Want more from your interior? Throw in a standard USB port, purposefully technology like a navigation system, multiflex rear seating, smart interior storage, and a dual seatback DVD player which will allow passengers to watch two different things on two different screens.

Safety features are always a plus, and the GMC Terrain is definitely not lacking safety. Stability control, traction control, dual stage airbags, and OnStar are all standard on the Terrain. Nice! A used trucks dealer Seattle sees the all-new Terrain as a new direction for GMC, as it provides a vehicle that’s is far more comfortable than its previous lineup, which has consistently comprised on rugged trucks and body on frame SUVs.

Look for the 2010 GMC Terrain to match up well against the Nissan Murano, Toyota Highlander, Hyundai Tucson and Ford Edge.

While the GMC Terrain is off to a solid start, demand at a Toyota dealer Boston for the Highlander has remained constand, and only time will tell whether the Terrain will be able to hold its own like its competition.

Go on GMC, I like where this ‘more ideas per square inch’ plan is going!
